Kevin De Bruyne’s groin issue isn’t as bad as initially feared, though he wont be risked here, but Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake miss out. Watford have failed to win their last three matches in all competitions. The Hornets have a massive challenge of themselves, and it will be interesting to see if they can respond. Watford started with wins over MK Dons and Plymouth in the League Cup but then lost to Sheffield United and were held to a draw by Coventry before suffering a heavy 1-4 defeat to Norwich.

Both Daniel Bachmann and Francisco Sierralta were forced off in the first half of Watford’s 4-1 loss at Norwich and are unlikely to be risked. Man City were eliminated in the Third Round of last season’s League Cup by Newcastle.  Prompting a surprise early exit from the previous year’s treble winners. The home side will be without the services of Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, Oscar Bobb, and Nathan Ake. Bobb is sidelined with a leg injury, Ake is ruled out with a thigh issue, De Bruyne has a groin problem.
