Early Life and Family
Gerard Piqué was born on February 2, 1987, in Barcelona, Spain. His father, Joan Piqué, was a businessman, and his mother, Montserrat, was the director of a hospital in Barcelona. Gerard Piqué grew up in a footballing family, and his grandfather, Amador Bernabeu, was a former vice president of FC Barcelona.
Manchester United
Piqué began his footballing career at a young age, joining the FC Barcelona youth academy, La Masia, at the age of ten. However, in 2004, he moved to Manchester United, where he joined their youth academy. Piqué was a part of the Manchester United team that won the FA Youth Cup in 2006.

In 2008, Piqué returned to FC Barcelona, and it was here that his footballing career truly took off. He was also a member of the Spanish team that finished as runners-up at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup.
