France vs Poland Preview

Kylian Mbappe’s broken nose has been the biggest storyline of the tournament to date. While Mbappe is going to return at some point, he was an unused substitute on Friday. Poland’s star striker, Robert Lewandowski, made a return from injury in their last game but was unable to make a significant impact. This sets the stage for France to potentially secure an easy win and lift their spirits heading into the knockout stages. After a goalless draw against Netherlands on matchday two. France still have work to do to secure their place in the knockout stages as group winners. Three of France’s last six games has seen them fail to score. Though they should be confident in finding the back of the net against a Poland defence who have kept just one clean sheet in their last six games.

France vs Poland Team news

Robert Lewandowski was only fit enough to start on the bench. He played half an hour in the second game against Austria after missing out on the group opener. However, he should be fit enough to play from the start in the final game. Mbappe was an unused substitute during the goalless draw with the Netherlands, the masked Frenchman will play again this tournament and could return to the lineup against Poland.
